Call(s) to Worship
***
There are days where we, in our innocence, ask “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Jesus said “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
There are days where we, in our arrogance, ask “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Jesus said “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?”
There are days where we, in our sorrow, ask “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Jesus said “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.
“Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”
Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Come. Let us follow Jesus and worship God together.

Illumination(s)
Open our eyes O God, and reveal yourself to us by your Word, and through the Holy Spirit,
that in your light – we may see light,
in your truth – we may find freedom,
and in your will – we may discover peace;
through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Prayer of confession(s)
Gracious God, you know all there is to know about us: You know how we have squandered the gifts we have been given. We have destroyed the relationships you have built. We have failed to forgive our debtors as you have forgiven us. We have been unfaithful in small things and great things alike. Forgive our sins, O Lord, for your name’s sake. Teach us to share the grace we have been given so that we may follow you faithfully, and discover the fullness of the blessings you have given. Amen.
